A Pathfinder Roleplaying Game update of the warlock base class from Complete Arcane. I was hoping to avoid having to do this, but it seems like Adam’s dead-set on playing a warlock in the upcoming Pathfinder Planescape campaign, regardless of any PRPG coolness for the classic base classes. By the way Adam, you should really check out the updated Pathfinder Roleplaying Game sorcerer first. The warlock’s an okay class, in my opinion, and in play didn’t outclass the other 3.5 base classes as much as you might think. Fortunately, the warlock is one of the classes that Paizo felt was outshining the core classes, so it isn’t in need of a power boost, just an update. Update: I take it back. I dislike it more now than I did when it first came out, because in hindsight it’s obvious that the warlock was an early beta test of 4th Edition rules. I’m starting to think that Adam actually wants to play 4th Edition, so he’s playing a warlock because I refuse to have anything to do with it. This is most definitely a work in progress. Expect it to remain a work in progress for a very long time. Anything not covered here is not updated for Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, and should be used as-is, including errata. This includes invocations from sources not included in the list below. WARLOCKHit Die: d8. Class SkillsThe warlock’s class skills are Bluff (Cha), Craft (Int), Disguise (Cha), Fly (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (planes) (Int), Knowledge (religion) (Int), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), and Use Magic Device (Cha). Class FeaturesThere are no changes to the warlock’s class features, except that references to Concentration skill checks should be replaced with concentration checks, as per the Casting Spells section of Chapter 9: Magic in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook. Lesser Invocations Crawling Eye (Complete Mage): Eye’s Stealth modifier is equal to your warlock level.
